What information we collect
We collect your name, phone number, email address and the messages you send through our website chat widget, enquiry forms or in response to our ads. We also record your contact preferences and any consent you give, including when and how you opted in.
Our website uses third-party embedded forms, video players and advertising tools. These may process technical information such as your IP address, device information and interactions with the website. Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, that consent is required before they are used.
Why we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and requests.
- To call or text you when you have asked us to contact you, and manage appointments.
- To provide and support our services.
- To keep records of consent, respect opt-out requests and protect our communications and website.
Our legal basis
We rely on your consent for marketing calls and texts where consent is required. You can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
We also rely on legitimate interests to respond to enquiries, manage business communications and keep our systems secure, where those interests do not override your rights. Legitimate interests do not replace consent where consent is legally required.
SMS and mobile information
Mobile information and SMS opt-in data are never sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We only use your mobile number to contact you about your enquiry and our services.
Reply STOP to opt out of text messages or HELP for help. You can also contact us directly to withdraw consent. We keep a minimal record of your opt-out to ensure it is respected.
Service providers and international processing
We use service providers to operate our website, enquiry forms and business systems. Where they process information on our behalf, they must follow our instructions and applicable data protection requirements. If information is processed outside the UK, applicable UK GDPR safeguards must be in place, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections. This does not change the SMS commitments above.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry information only for as long as needed to respond, follow up and provide our services. The period depends on the nature of the enquiry, our relationship with you and any legal obligations. We review records and delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed. Consent and opt-out records may be kept for longer where necessary to demonstrate compliance and prevent unwanted contact.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including limiting access to those who need it and using secure systems. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive a portable copy. You may withdraw consent at any time. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions.
Send privacy requests to hello@vertel.co.uk or call +44 7367 113861. We may need to verify your identity and will normally respond within one month. There is normally no charge.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. You do not need to contact us first, although we welcome the opportunity to resolve a concern.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. The last updated date above identifies the current version.
